Sandalphon is an optical scientist/engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the field of Optical Sciences. Recent work on laser development, also lidar and advanced electro-optic systems, for Areté Associates in Longmont, CO. He provided technical advising and program support for medical optic assemblies for Precision Biopsy in Aurora, CO. He worked on advanced imaging and 3D face recognition at a distance for Lockheed Martin Coherent Technologies in Louisville, CO. He did advanced research on biometrics, including fingerprint, face, and iris, for Authenti-Corp in Phoenix, AZ.

Sandalphon graduated with a PhD in Optical Sciences from the College of Optical Sciences, University of Arizona, in 1997. He continues to be affiliated with the university as an adjunct assistant research professor.
